The final episode of this celebrity version of The Traitors was mistakenly made available by international broadcasters prior to its scheduled UK broadcast on Thursday night, as confirmed official sources.

Reports indicate that the finale was viewed by a few hundred viewers of the online platform the streaming service in Canada; these individuals could view it for a couple of hours until it was taken down.

This episode being uploaded was not considered a error by the original broadcaster, and a representative for the corporation urged those who think they have discovered the outcome of the show to "refrain from posting potential spoilers".

"We kindly ask those who thinks they know the ending of The Celebrity Traitors to keep whatever they believe they know to themselves," the announcement read.

"Please avoid sharing potential spoilers so that the millions of fans who have been faithfully following every development of the show can experience the finale this night."

This celebrity version is currently the top-rated TV show of the year, with an average of 12.6m viewers across the initial installments.

Fans of the show have been eagerly anticipating to see whether deceivers Cat Burns and Alan Carr will win the £100,000 prize for a good cause or whether loyal contestants the faithful contestants will be victorious.

A past champion of the third season of The Traitors commented that "no one likes reveals", which are "joy's enemy".

He mentioned he will be settling in to watch the finale tonight as it airs, with all of his family and "a bucket of popcorn".

Thursday night's concluding installment is extended to 70 minutes on the main channel, with an extended edition of The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked scheduled to broadcast on BBC Two following the final.
