The United Kingdom is set to progress with employing the entire amount of seized Russian assets to support Ukraine's military campaign, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has declared.

In a shared declaration, the leaders of the Britain, the French Republic, and Germany stated that this joint measure would increase strain on Russian President Vladimir Putin and urge Moscow to participate in talks.

They further noted that the decision would be carried out in tight collaboration with the America.

British restrictions have frozen over £25bn of Russia's assets since the Russian government launched its full-scale invasion against Ukraine in 2022. Yet, previously, resources provided to the Ukrainian government using Russia's assets had solely been sourced from gains and dividends earned on them.

Sir Keir informed President Volodymyr Zelensky that the Britain, France, and the Federal Republic of Germany were united in their aim to push forward toward employing the complete amount of the immobilized Russian sovereign holdings to end the war.

He added that additional measures soon would increase the strain on Moscow.

This declaration is subsequent to European leaders gathered in Copenhagen last week to discuss employing seized Russia's funds for a €140 billion loan to the Ukrainian nation.
