Your Ideal Pocket Monster Legends: Z-A Mega Evolution According to the Zodiac Sign

This return of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense excitement within the fandom. Starting with the one-by-one reveal of fresh additions before the game's release, to players developing strong views on the full roster of new Megas, there's plenty for fans to look forward to.

With many of the Super Forms boasting unique appearances that highlight their traits, one thought came to mind: How can link this with zodiac signs? This list is based on a mix of vibes, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.

Aries – Super Camerupt

Honestly, Houndoom was almost chosen for this fire sign, as they are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that evoke the most fear. But, a Super Houndoom appears as always angry, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, known for being playful, light-hearted, and spontaneous. This makes the Ram much more similar to Super Camerupt, which solely erupts when angered. Stay on the friendly side of either and enjoy a powerful partner; should you offend them, be ready to face the consequences.

The Bull – Mega Heracross

Much like a devoted Taurus, the reliable Heracross species, whether in its regular and Super Form, has assisted numerous players in Legends: Z-A. While dependable, both the creature and a Taurus are still battle-oriented, and – be it their companion or a strong opinion – will stand up for their side to the end. The thing about Super Heracross that reminds me most of my Bull-sign companions, however, is its unabashed passion for treats. Several previous official descriptions note their fondness for sweet tree sap and how it uses its appendage to hoard it everything, which is pure Taurus energy.

Gemini – Super Medicham

Observe this total royalty. It's impossible to convince me this Pokémon is not the soul of every party, offering an endless stream of gossip to those who wants to listen. Just like an enrapturing, sociable Twins, it's incredibly easy to imagine Mega Medicham captivating an entire Wild Zone with their stories. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also mentions its ability to predict an opponent's future actions, which seems very like a socially-savvy Gemini.

Cancer – Mega Manectric

Cancer is commonly regarded as the most emotional sign of the zodiac, a intense symbol famous for frequently getting wrapped up in their feelings. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution charges the creature with a “tremendous quantity of electricity, but it's too much for this Pokémon to fully manage,” which seems a lot like a classic Crab crash-out. It is also recognized for its capability to make a thundercloud over its very self – and if there’s a single trait a Crab is going to do, it’s rain on their own parade.

Leo – Mega Starmie

Oh, did you assume I was planning to select Pyroar for the king of the zodiac? Besides the fact that it would be far too on the nose, Leo is obviously Super Starmie, the diva whose legs just became an internet sensation for being extremely fabulous (or horrifying, based on your taste). Fans couldn’t look away from the violet sea star, and that’s precisely the same energy a Lion offers to the scene. Starmie is also said to be transmitting radio waves from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Lion to be staging a show, even if for aliens.

The Maiden – Super Victreebel

The always-ready and constantly-worried Virgo is ideally encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with constant acid reflux. The zodiac symbol famous for being endearingly critical is clearly mirrored throughout this creature's whole evolutionary chain, from a perpetually shocked expression like a Virgo when you inform them you lack a 401(k), to its upside-down visage that’s similar to the emoji a Maiden sends to the chatroom when all says they want to “go with the flow” instead of making a strategy.

The Scales – Super Audino

Look at this sweet, sensitive creature, who employs the sensors on its auditory organs to tell how others are feeling by their heartbeat. Consistently empathetic – occasionally to a fault – and trying to keep the harmony, there are numerous Libras who would likely benefit from Mega Audino’s skills. However, to be frank, it would probably just cause them to worry more about others.

The Scorpion – Mega Banette

This Ghost-type is a creature with a unexpectedly tragic origin: Discarded as a doll, it gained consciousness through pure resentment and vowed revenge on its former owner. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That seems exactly like many discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpio friends. A Scorpio adores karma and retribution, making them the perfect pair with Super Banette.

The Archer – Super Hawlucha

Each Mega Hawlucha and Archers are always putting on a performance. As a Sagittarius personally, the amount of times I’ve referred to myself some version of a “silly little jester” is innumerable. The showiest and most obnoxious Super Form, its Pokédex entry even notes how it “poses to show off its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Super Form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius match I can think of.

The Goat – Mega Absol

Were you aware that a Super Absol has the ability to predict calamities in advance? That gives the exact same vibe as a Capricorn, who often always believe they’re right. Interestingly, similar to a visionary Super Absol, they often are. It’s also the very initial Super Form that players meet in Legends: Z-A – just like a Goat to join the ground floor of the Mega trend.

Aquarius – Mega Chandelure

Detached element Aquarius is arguably the non-flame placement that is most like a flame symbol – its counterpart is the Lion, and there are countless memes about the Archer and Aquarius being unpredictable partners in crime. Mega Chandelure’s dual Ghost/Fire typing fits seamlessly with this, and the Super Form's overall intimidating aura is also very Aquarius. If you hadn't yet convinced, the Super Form's Pokédex entry says it “draws in hatred and transforms it into strength.” If that doesn’t perfectly {encaps
